Hi all! Camp's coming in like 7 more days. Anw here's the pack list. :)

Compulsory Items:

Bible and writing materials
Mosquito repellent
Sleeping bag
2 pairs of covered sports shoes and socks
A personal small lock for your bag

You should also bring:

2 pairs of jeans/long pants for services & workshops
6 sets of clothes (3 black tops for wet games; strictly no fbt shorts)
5 sets of undergarments
1 pair of sandals/slippers
1 jacket
1 water bottle
Toiletries (including towel)
Cash of no more than $20
Personal medication
Cap & sun block (optional)
Snacks (optional)
Cards/gifts (for angel & mortal game)

Service/Workshop Attire:

Proper attire is required for service and workshops.

At the very least, a T - shirt (sleeveless tops are not allowed)
Long pants/jeans (three quaters are not allowed)
Covered shoes or sandals (slippers are not allowed)
Campers are strongly encouraged to bring two pairs of shoes to camp in view that a pair of shoes may get soiled during outdoor activities.

Games Attire

Proper games attire is required for all games.

T-shirt / shorts / bermudas (strictly NO fbt shorts or the like)
Shoes/sandals

Note: Campers will be asked to change if they are not appropraitely dressed.

Hey everyone! This blog is gonna come alive again! :D

How has everyone been? Well last night cell at Ethel's house was awesome! so was todays 'my hope' training!

I've been feeling so satisfied with where I am with God! But during cell worship yesterday, Daniel Tan said some words that really reminded me of my encounters with GOd last year and I felt God so strongly yesterday!

hey! exams are over! and so is school for most of us.

Felt quite sad as next year I may not be in the same class as some of my good friends.

I sort of regret not spending enough time bonding with my class mates, getting to know them better.

Have alot of stuff to do this hols haha! actually my whole December is planned out already. haha!

Since exams are over, we are free now! and lets take time to revive this blog! Lets not always want the blog to be revived but do nothing. cos it starts with us!

I lost my wallet last tue. And I thought there was no hope of it being found.. And somehow i still prayed for it to be found everyday. And today I received a call that my ez-link card was found. So I went to tamp mrt to collect it! Although the person did not return the wallet and my ez link card value was all used up, at least i got it back. I hope ill get back my wallet or at least the stuff inside.
But I guess this really showed me that God will not give you a task and leave you to deal with it alone! He will see you through it! And guide you each step! :D

Day 1 - 13 June 2008
"Not slack, quite tiring"
First, met roc at school, than we go caltex buy drinks. Than go back school help transport stuff to the truck to bring the stuff to Marina South Pier to go to Sister's Island. Carry alot alot of things!!
Journey there, average... Jun Wei very funny man! He make Zhi Jian his "son" and Shuan his "Brother" and ask Shuan to sing "HIS" single, Beautiful Girls by "Shuan"(Sean) Kingston! LOL!!!
HAHA, blah blah and reach the pier, unpack, bring to boat etc... than reach Sister's Island (Big one) unpack, bring to camp site. THAN EAT $1.30 Chicken Rice!!! Quite nice. Blah Blah, go set up our "home" blah blah....Sentry Duty. Aiya, after that, quite slack le

Boring... Do lashing, learn to set up 4 men tent AKA 'A' Frame tent.
Aiya! From day 2 onwards is boring la! only got push up game, push ups, LOADS of washing!!!

Calling out all handsome and beautiful people of tamp cell ! cell will be on this thurs (19th june) instead because there is Megalife leaders' meeting on Sat. We are meeting at 6pm at Downtown stage for diiner, and will head to church for cell at about 6.45pm. so cell will officially start at 7pm! anyone who is not meeting us for dinner has to reach church by 7pm alright! (do inform your respective leader if you're meeting us for dinner or not!)

I feel that I've been judging people quickly..
And that shouldn't be the case..

"Dear God I pray that You help me not judge people so quickly and by what I see from the outside.. In Jesus name Amen."

One thing is that I gotta change my whole view about school and school friends.. I always felt that almost all school friends are the worst friends. But today during a meeting of science and geog project and I felt that it was fun being with school friends and I gotta start reaching out to them.
Although they can be unreasonable at times but lets still love them!

Think of it in this point of view, most of them don't know God and thats why life to them is boring and stuff.. So lets not blame them but be a light to them and let them see the difference in us.

I always hear in Church the speaker saying that when you become a Christian your life wont be trouble-free but you'll be free in the face of troubles. But I never really understood that until recently.. My chinese tuition teacher always say im happy. Even on days when im troubled or when im down.. Recently as I think about it, I finally understand what the speaker means by when you become a Christian you'll be free in the face of problems!

Most of us when we're down or all the time, we just talk to God may in the bus or wherever,
but imagine if there was no one to talk to when we're alone.
Thats the position that non-believers are at! Let's not hate them when they sound sian to study and stuff. Its usual that we may get angry with them but thats ok! Why? Because God created us to have emotions so its normal and not wrong to get angry. But lets not get angry and hate them!

Words are very important and strong.
God created the Earth with words, "let there be light, and there was light"
So every word that comes out of our mouth, lets use to pull someone up and not to pull someone down.

Simple words like, fool, idiot, loser, etc... can pull someone down.
Some of you may think, must get use to it mah, next time grow up will have this kind of things in the world.
Yes that is true but lets not follow the ways of this world!
Some people come to Church for healing, and imagine if someone comes up and cast down words of discouragement upon that person, how do you think that person will feel?

Friends are the reason why people backslide and why people come to Christ.
Lets go there and be a friend and help those hurt ones!

I remember Pastor Joyce once said that if we hurt others its like hurting God.
something like that..

In whatever we do, lets know our limits although at time we may go too far but lets try our best to know our limits to a joke, etc...

I'm not trying to shoot anyone here, but as a friend or a brother in Christ, I want to create this awareness to you guys out there.

Haha! Challenge of the day was to be able to skate down the slope to the underground tunnel..
Took me quite long to sort of get it.. Den we moved on to outside some hotel next to clark quay.
And den to sommerset, the skate park. Wah, very no face to go there.. See all the pro people..

Hello my dear dear dear cell!
Hohoho, its been a long time since I've last posted here 'cause apparently I forgot the username and password. But still, I managed to get it out somehow! Okay, enough of this crap.

I know you people are gna miss me very much. 'Cause you all won't be seeing me for two saturdays, in short, you're gna see me in three weeks time. No, don't start sobbing, I know you're sad. I'm leaving on this Saturday in the morning and would be back on the next Sunday. Then I would be leaving on Monday, then coming back on the 12th. Then Saturday I would be going for service. Yay yay yay!

Whoo! Yesterday was fun!
The guys in cell went to watch 'Made With Honour' quite a funny show.
We had dinner at SuperDog first den to the movie!

After the movie, we went to the arcade and haha Yiren got hooked to the machine where u must try to get a toy. Haha but didn't win anything..

Joel and Jeremy had usher camp. Soon Chuen had school the next day and Vernon fell sick.

Went through some weird stuff on Sunday.. And Global Day of prayer was cool!
On Monday, I had no school and went to my cousins house yesterday till evening and small Ben came over to stay at night. haha! The next morning we went to East Coast beach to do quiet time it was quite fun and stuff..

I had a dream

I had a dream last night, it doesn't really bothers me that much but i'm still praying about it..
Here it is:

I went to my table and sat down on my chair.. I touched the cover box of my Bible and I noticed that it was rough(suppose to be smooth).. And suddenly a big bee came and bit my leg, It was quite painful, so I shooed it away..
Awhile later, I opened the cover box of my Bible and I realised that whole off the top part of my Bible was rough.. Then later, I took my Bible out of the bottom part of the box and I saw nests' of some kind of insect.. The nest was black in colour and I just somehow knew that it was a termites nest..
And immediately, a bee (I don't know whether its the same bee that bit me earlier on) came and bit my hand.. and shooed it away..

Thats the dream.. The strange thing about the bees was that it bit me using its mouth not by any needle or anything else.. And yea thats the dream.. I'm still praying about it..

After viewing T3, we went to T1 staff canteen.Look! we ordered the same dish for dinner. However, each of us chose different noodles.Sherman eating...Chill [Sher] man...

we played with food again...

walked around the viewing mall of T1

so.. we decided to take a group photo..

then we went to a place with better lightings..

we took another trolley... and tried to figure a way to arrange ourselves.

we tried taking the picture ourselves by placing the camera on bags and set the timer.

BUT... the camera......fell and took a pic of the ceiling.. in the end. someone came and took a pic for us. Cordelia left after that pic to pack her bags for her trip.

haha.. im been really blessed by this camp. U know, i went for 6 megalife camps already.. First was the Outer Limits.. And let me tell u guys, this years camp... everyone was the craziest i have ever seen!! this years camp ROCKS !! haha.. u can see people going crazy on stage with Hilari Praise! I really want to thank the WA band! Johnny Rocks yall!! Put Cha Hands UP!

Its realli great to have Pastor Dave Readon with us as well.. i've realli learnt more and more about God through him.. SHOW ME THE FIRE !!

Not to mention, He joined TROPO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha.. BAM BAM BAM!! ZAP ZAP ZAP !! Its so cool to have him in our domain.. (Although Johnny's pretty cool as well)

The games were rather fun as well! The water baby thing as well as Prison Break! its realli fun!!
It was rather exhausting though... As you can see....

However, the coolest man in the WA band in my opinion would have to be Pastor David!

His electric guitar skills are simply amazing!! 5th generation preacher!! he is such a great man of God! haha..

Anyway, guys.. i jus pray that we will continue carrying the passion and fire with us all the way ya? Intimacy with God is a daily thing.. so lets jus keep praying and doing the will of God as ONE!

woohoo!!! just came back from Megalife camp and a fun dinner with guess who, Youth Alive band hahah! yay thanks Dingo [ Ern ] haha. Had a great time fellowshipping with them, having dinner at Bugis Pastamania & laming with Josh Haglund!!! haha he's so funny, oh and i got his email add too hahah! He and i can be good buddies man, sharing real lame jokes haha. It was really fun to just be able to hang out with them and experience something cool.

Frankly speaking, this years camp wasnt as good as last yrs though YA was there. Yes its awesome to have a great band and a powerful preacher, but i think i've gained more during Fortified haha. It was fun leading TMR [ Tropo Fornax! ] alongside Xue Ting and yeah i feel that she did a wonderful job haha! yay

Lets all continue to glorify God with all that we have in our normal services and cell yeah! Though camp is over, lets worship God the way we do in camp. Continue to have the deperation and hunger for more and more of God and grow together as ONE Tamp Cell!!! woohoo

Haha this is Jeremy after dinner on Saturday! haha! When we were walking past B&J, Jeremy saw the rides and was super excited. He then went to change for 2 $1 coins for the rides.

Freddy Boey Cup was fun but really tiring haha. Zone 1 won 1 game, drew 2 & lost 1. We finished in 3rd place out of 5 teams, good effort guys. Good job to Ian, Alex and Soon Chuen for playing so well in the matches. Oh and thanks to those who came to support us too! We really appreciate it :)

Word Of God Speak

Sometimes i think it is really easy to just put God aside because of stuff that is happening around you.

This thought just came to mind when i had his sudden surge to listen to this song called "Word Of God Speak".The reason why i just had to listen to this song is because we are sometimes blinded by the things of this world that we cant see what is God trying to tell us. We have to sometimes stay still, and just listen out to his voice. Let his word speak to us. Like beyond the stuff that makes us side track in our walk with God. We have to come back to the first love with had we God.

Sometimes we do think that not praying for a day or not doing qt is alright. God would understand and forgive us. Yes i do have to agree it's hard to keep up everyday with QT and praying. It's not simple but the one thing i have to say is to just press on and push yourself to it. Ask God give you that extra strength to pray for that friend of yours maybe. (:So people who are reading this post, i encourage you to stay strong and grow [:

Our Dear Sherm Sherm :D

Hello everyone! Ian here! Did some editing to photos i took last week during cell. Didnt take alot but had a nice amount to tell a story!

We know that sherman is always hungry. And now we have photographs to prove it! So here is how it all goes.

Photos are in series of events that have taken place.

After doing a nice work out with jem and ryan, sherman felt hungry. Not just hungry, BUT VERY HUNGRY.

As you can see, sherman is rubbing his belly. Asking it to relax because there is no food. From this photo we can see sherman needs food 24/7

The last photo really shows how hungry sherman can get. He's always rubbing his tummy and with a raging hunger he will always have.

hahah serving for superlife last wk was rather fun actuallly. Sherman led worship really well haha! The song that really ministered to me and everyone was My Heart Your Home. This song is to let Jesus be in control of our lives and make our heart a home for Him. It was really cool to see all the young kids respod to God during the alter calls cos no one is too young to be used and touched by God. No matter how young or old we are, God will still use us and speak to us in His own special way.

When the ML ldrs were told to pray for the kids, i was looking around for ppl to pray for. Then there was this boy who i felt that my prayer can really touch his life. When i was praying for him, i looked at him and can really sense that he agrees to whatever i said and suddenly i just felt to tell him to let go of any troubles. To lift it all to God for He cares. I told him a verse, something about God being a fortress and refuge in times of need for us. Also, i can see that the kid was really sincere like cos he was cubbing his hands and putting it against his heart. That was just a wonderful sight to see. Though he may not fully understand what i was saying, i can tell that he wants a touch from God.

Truthfully, when i saw so many kids responding at the alter, i had this feeling thats unexplainable ah as it is just a really wonderful sight. I'm really thankful that i ushered for their service as God made me experience something i didnt really thought i would experience.

Tamp cell, lets really come back to the heart of why we are worshipping God and are His followers. If you really take some time off to think, you would be really grateful to have such a wonderful Friend whos by your side 24/7

Mistakes

Well, today Superlife was great! For the 1st time during worship, I saw a group of kids raising their hands and worshipping God with all their hearts and they were doing it not because someone asked they to do so but because they wanted to touch The Very Heart Of God!
The 1st service was refreshing!
P.J (pastor Joyce) gave an altar call and the awesome Megalifers were told to pray for the kids..
As I was praying for a kid, I touched his head as I prayed... Cordelia came up to me after I prayed and told me that I wasn't suppose to do that cos' touching of heads is more of like specially anointed people can do that..
After I learnt that, I felt abit guilty about it..
I tried to stop thinking about it but i couldn't.. So I asked Sherman to pray for me and after that I felt better! :D
During the 2nd service, at first I thought it wouldn't turn out as good as the 1st service..
But in the end, the altar call was so good! God's presence was so much stronger than in the 1st service! As I went to the altar, I was touched by God! All my guilt was gone! As I cried, I felt that all my guilt and worries left me!
Tommy (Pri.4 Superlifer/youngest guitarist serving in our church..) cried too and at the end of the service I asked him if God spoke to him and he sayed yes!
Well, you know we all make mistakes! And mistakes are not things we go through to discourage us! But we go through it to strengthen us!
I'm glad that God taught me something new today trough Cordelia..

"LORD God I pray that you help us to learn from any mistakes we make LORD and I pray that we do not get discourage by our mistakes but instead strengthen us LORD! In Jesus name, Amen!"

Well, lets all learn from our mistakes and grow strong in God's word!

God's presence in my house

Well, last night Ben lee stayed at my house.. We slept for only about 2 hrs cos' last night at around 11.55, as I was playing the guitar, Ben told me that he could feel God.. So I continued to play and we remained still before the LORD...
Awhile later, we prayed for the our families and for the Superlife ministry..

God's presence was so strong and it was like, He was sitting with us!
After that, God put a new song in my heart and I dunno why, but I started singing the new song in tongues and in English and the words and everything was all from God although I was singing it.. The part that ministered to me was the word 'Life testimony'

We finished worshipping and stuff at around 3.15am.. We felt so refreshed!
This was the very 1st time I ever felt God's presence so strongly in my house! God also spoke to us in many ways while we were worshipping and stuff!

So lets all be desperate for God!
"Lord God I pray LORD that you come and speak to us O LORD! Put in that desperation in us to know you more LORD! And LORD I pray that you help us to never lose that fire! In Jesus Almighty name Amen!!!"

Haha good job Xue ting for leading worship for the first time [with guit] haha. woohoo jia you!

I really do feel that worship is really not about the songs that we sing, like if we like the song then we will "get engaged" with God. Its not about whether theres a guit or whether the music is nice or etc. I feel that worship is really about surrendering to God and really lifting His name on high for He alone deserves ALL GLORY! And we should really learn that and mean what we sing. So what if you cant catch the notes/keys? If you really mean what you sing then that is enough to put a smile on Gods face :)

Like how the song The Stand goes, "so I'll stand my soul Lord to You surrendered and all I am is Yours." yeah worship is about surrendering and not about whats going on around us or whats in our mind. So submit everything to God and yeah, cont'd to glorify His name! :)

haha Shermans whiny action was super funny ah hahahaha! its typical Sherman when he's whiny hahaha but he didnt tear up any papers haha! And Soon Chuens leg is injured all because of SHERMAN!!!! hahaha he sat on Soon Chuen ah hahaha!

Well, today before band practice started, I talked to Gavin, my school friend, about God and at first we didn't talk much, but awhile later God just did a miracle.. Well, I started praying for Gavin after talking to him about God for awhile and after I prayed for him, he told me that he felt something touching his back and applying force... After that, I talked to him again and we talked and prayed a few more times.. Until God gave us something else to talk about.. So after talking to Gavin for awhile, I decided to again pray for him and after praying, he took one of his best cards and tore it! After that he took his whole deck of cards and threw them into the dustbin! I was quite surprise that he did that.. I mean, his a new Christian and he's willing to sacrifice so much for God, I have not seen a new Christian do this before! God must be very please with Gavin.. After that we chatted for awhile more and when I wanted to close in prayer, Gavin told me that he wanted to try and speak in tongues! So I let him try and God led us into praying for Gavin to have the gift of tongues.. After that, i'm wasn't sure if Gavin had the gift of tongues but I asked him to keep praying for it.. While praying, I could see that Gavin was desperate for the gift of tongues..
I talked to him during recess yesterday and before that i talked to him a few time already and he told me that today was the first time that he felt God's presence so strong when talking to me! I also felt God's presence and it was so peaceful!

" LORD God I pray that you give us wisdom and help us know what we should play and what we shouldn't play.. And I pray that you protect us from any attacks from the devil in the Mighty Name Of Jesus! devil I cammand you to flee! In the Name Of Jesus! Amen!"

Woohoo soccer was great though it was super tiring. Scored a goal and assisted a few haha yay me. Its loco man haha. my ankles were a little aching when i doffed my boots, really physical.
I'll sprint faster than Soon Chuen one day haha, watch out man!!!

i really do enjoy the smorgasbord variety of extensive use of good english
in this post. Real proud of myself haha. Anyway i'm still trying to mitigate
the pain from my wrist haha.

The o levels are here and its so poky man, but i have to be sanguine with it haha. May God really grant me wisdom and everything haha. yupp anyway for those who have not heard the joke about the ocean, forget about it, the answer is too deep for you to understand. yeah haha.
